Last night, President Obama pretty much ran ABC and discussed his health care plan. Of course, the subject of a network basically serving as a platform for a President without real, substantive debate regarding the policy is a subject for elsewhere. Obama To Get More Involved In Health Care

President Obama has long said he had no intention of dictating specifics of any new plans to combat what he calls the problems of the American health care system. Of course, now he’s decided he’s going to get more involved in the specifics. Why? Well, apparently it’s because some of what President Obama wants in the new health care reforms are meeting some level of friction, specifically the idea of a comprehensive health care coverage for the 45 million Americans who are without health insurance.

Of course, the fact that somewhere in the neighborhood of 40% of those could have health insurance if they wanted it seems to get no play in the mainstream media. Continue reading Obama To Get More Involved In Health Care

Quick, Get A Band-Aid Before July!

President Obama says that he wants to have major healthcare reform on the House floor no later than July. In a news story from Bloomberg, the president says that we must do this now while “…the stars are aligned” for Congress to pass legislation to reform health care.

For those of us that value choice, personal freedom, and the strides made by science in our private health care system, it appears that the stars are stacked against us!
