The FDA has officially gone off the rocker

MSNBC is reporting that the Food and Drug Administration is planning an effort to reduce the amount of salt in the average American’s diet by regulating how much producers can put in it’s products. Maybe it’s just me, but this seemsios even dumber than when they tried to smack down Cheerois. Continue reading The FDA has officially gone off the rocker

Why I Hate Regulations

In this era of the housing crisis and stock market crash, that many claim to have been brought on from a lack of regulation, it’s easy to get caught up in the idea of government stepping in and protecting us from ourselves. And, with the “health care crisis” that the President keeps talking about, there’s plenty of talk now about the government saving us from evil employers as well. A couple of days ago, news broke that Wal-mart was siding with the progressive think tank, Center for American Progress in calling for an employer mandate to provide health insurance.

Nanny State: Coming To A Medicine Cabinet Near YOU!

Of course, it must be the drug’s fault, right? Continue reading Nanny State: Coming To A Medicine Cabinet Near YOU!

Should FDA Regulate Tobacco?

In Friday’s Albany Herald, there’s a letter to the editor from a cancer survivor calling for the Food and Drug Administration.  Basically, his argument is that tobacco is a dangerous substance with all kinds of dangerous side effects like cancer.  The writer calls out “Big Tobacco”, as most anti-tobacco crusaders do, and ask that Uncle Sam step in and do something.

It’s just a shame that the letter doesn’t lay out all the facts. Continue reading Should FDA Regulate Tobacco?

The Idiocy of the FDA

With what the Obama Administration has referred to as a “health care crisis”, the Food and Drug Administration is taking aim at what I’m sure is truly a horrid culprit who is trying to undermine our entire health care system and kill millions while convincing the people that it’s “healthy”. That’s right, the FDA is taking aim at Cheerios!
