Started early in 2009, SWGA Politics quickly became one of the primary sources of information on state, local, and even national politics for people in the southwest Georgia area. Founded by Jeff, SWGA Politics takes a look at things in a manner not normally encountered within the local media.
In March of 2009, Jeff and Tom met, and just like that a partnership was born. Tom quickly took over the local side of things, which Jeff was unable to really do because of his job, and Tom contributed to state and national stories as well with his editorials.
Today, SWGA Politics is read by elected officials and the rank and file voters of Southwest Georgia to get a bead on what’s going on.
We won’t pretend to be unbiased. In fact, we’re going to straight out tell you that what we post will be from our Libertarian perspective. It’s rare for someone to be able to truly be unbiased. Most journalists try and fail. We have chosen not to try, simply because it’s easier to read a report when you know what type of bias the author has from the get go.
One thing we will promise is to report what information we have with integrity, honesty, and as Libertarians, an outsider’s eye towards keeping our politicians and appointed officials honest.
