I’ve heard some silly stuff in my day. Frankly, I’ve heard some ridiculous things just this morning. But this tidbit from the Cato Institute’s blog is possibly the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
We may or may not agree on whether we should require parental advisory stickers on music. We may or may not agree on whether we should have ratings on movies. I’m pretty sure we can all agree that a parental advisory isn’t needed on the United States Constitution, right?
Apparently though, there is one on copies published by Wilder Publications. They also put it on that radical text, The Federalist Papers!
Obviously, the warnings are justified. After all, without them, kids who read the Constitution might start expecting things like rights. The nerve of kids, growing up and expecting free speech and the right to bear arms. The absolute nerve of Americans expecting protection against unreasonable search and seizure because of what it says on an old piece of paper.
Yeah, this one was so stupid, I had to share it.
