Last summer, I wrote about Gary Horlacher, a Democratic candidate for Secretary of State and his concept of “High Definition Government“.
Mr. Horlacher really was among the first on the ball on ethics, not just in his own race, but in ANY 2010 statewide race. As has been noted repeatedly, ethics is expected to be a key component of this year’s races, and I applaud Mr. Horlacher for “being country when country wasn’t cool”.
Mr. Horlacher is going to be in the general Southwest Ga area for the next few days, and he is actively seeking to meet you. He didn’t give me a schedule of events when we talked, but I’m sure if you drop him an email at garyh at garyforsecretary dot com, he’ll find a way to meet you while he’s down here.
Here’s his latest youtube video, and you can also become a “fan” of his on Facebook:
One final note to statewide candidates and their campaigns: If you (or your candidate) is going to be in the general SWGA area, we will put a post here letting people know about your trip – but we gotta know about it to do so! Drop us a line via the Contact page, send me an email at 2010campaigns at jefferysexton dot com, or text/call us at 229 234 0570, or hit me up on Facebook or Twitter.
Georgia political history shows clearly that “country” and “ethical” are hardly synonymous.
eh, was more of an analogy about doing stuff before it becomes the fad, which was the point of that particular song.
