Raise the Roof!

The Senate opened debate Wednesday on a plan to raise the nation’s debt limit by $1.9 trillion!

Why does our federal Government show some leadership. Develop a budget that saves 10% of the incoming tax dollars, puts 15% towards paying down current debt, force it’s agencies to become hatchet men letting go of dead weight and dead programs.

It is obvious that with the situation in Haiti, Americans are willing to give to those in need who are in a situation they can’t control.

So cut thousands of government employees, set a realistic budget, quit wasting billions on trying to reinvent the wheel. Our Government is a business, it is self insured and must provide for it’s own defense. It’s time to become fiscally responsible.

I know that many will see this as cold and heartless, will it have ramifications for the US YES, will the US and it people suffer for a few years , YES, but in the end the US will be a stronger nation because of it without giving up freedoms. Sometimes bold steps are needed to make necessary change. The media should herald those willing to make those hard cuts as hero’s not villans, they are working to save our nation.

Call your Representatives, tell them to vote NO, balance the budget with SAVINGS and DEBT PAYMENT. Do it now while we still can!
