[UPDATED] State Rep Ed Rynders’ Bi-Annual Fundraiser [This Past Monday Night]

State Representative Ed Rynders will have his bi-annual fundraiser tonight at 6:30pm at Oakland Lodge. Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives Glenn Richardson was scheduled to be the special guest, though no word as of yet on how Speaker Richardson’s announcement Friday impacts those plans – if at all.

I do know that at least one SWGAPolitics.com reader plans to attend, and I also plan to be there – with my wife planning on making a rare appearance at these events. Since this is an extremely short post, I’ll update it after the event with my usual post-event commentary.

Consolidation needs to be voted on

Consolidation.  Hands down, one of the touchiest subjects to hit Dougherty County in recent memory.  It’s not even the first time it’s been broached in the County, having been debated decades ago.  But now, things are steaming forward at a quicker rate than ages past and frankly, that’s a good thing.
