You Should Go To One of These Events Tonight

Tonight, we have two events that I personally think are both decently major – one in Albany, and one in Leesburg.

In Leesburg, the Lee County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6pm in the Couthouse Annex, and there will be a public hearing on the proposed boat ramp along Slappey Rd within yards of the LeDo line.

In Albany, at 7pm there will be a screening of the documentary Do No Harm, which details questionable dealings of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and also examines the infamous “Phoebe Factoids” case involving former Dougherty County District Attorney and current 2010 Attorney General candidate Ken Hodges. This will be at the Merry Acres Event Center.

So please, get out to these events. Talk to people. Let your voice be heard.

We’ve been told that cameras in downtown Albany help make us safer. We’ve been told that cameras in downtown Albany help solve crimes. We’ve been told that cameras in downtown Albany are essential to public safety.
