For those of you who may not know, I’m a big Atlas Shrugged fan. When I first read it, I was convinced that Ayn Rand had taken the ideas to a ridiculous extreme. Frankly, I couldn’t imagine a real person saddling more and more regulations on any industry and still say with a straight face that they believed in a free market. I couldn’t imagine newsmen saying, again with a straight face, anything that would stifle what the journalist felt was the truth.
