Oh yeah…THIS is a good idea

Apparently, GAO investigators were able to construct bombs inside of government controlled buildings, buildings protected by the FPS, or Federal Protective Service. Reviews found a pile of deficiencies, enough that makes me nervous to set foot inside ANY building they protect considering I’m legally prevented from carrying a firearm onto the premises myself. Their response to these criticisms?

They need more money to correct the problems.

Now, I like the idea that the FPS is essentially contractors. However, as the employer, the government has a right to expect certain standards to be met, standards that should be spelled out in the contract. I’m not that well versed on the particulars of the FPS though. But what gets me is the argument that because of the gross incompetence, they should be punished with even more tax dollars to “fix” the problems.

Honestly, that’s the problem with government. Failure is met with increased funding. If your government program is a failure, just claim you need more money. Why? It works. Almost every single time. And now they’re going to try it with the inept group of keystone cops who are supposed to protect the buildings where our government is run?

Yeah. That’s a solid plan.
