In 1933, Adolf Hitler appointed Joseph Goebbels as the propaganda minister. Goebbels had helped Hitler during his rise of power to shape public opinion. As the minister of propaganda he now had power over radio, press, theater, and movies in Germany. This ministry was important to advance Hitler’s plans.
Comparing modern figures to that of Adolf Hitler is a turn off, and it exposes the accuser of being intellectually bankrupt. It is simply too easy to do, and the insult is thrown around willie-nillie. I’m not saying that Obama is Hitler, but his desire to have absolute control by appointing czars and shaping the health care debate by controlling the media is alarming.
In today’s Drudge Report, the headline for the lead story reads, “ABC Turns Programming Over To Obama; News To Be Anchored From Inside White House.”
This exciting milestone for big government will happen on June 24. This is a plan to help push government run health care. The primetime special will be called “Prescription for America”
About a month ago it was learned that the White House press room was writing stories for the media to make sure they reported the story correctly. Once the stories are written, certain media outlets are called to report the news of the day from the White House. The White House says that this is being done for accuracy, but it smacks of a modern ministry of propaganda and it is disturbing.
Folks, we need to wake up here! Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. The press has been the unofficial fourth branch of the government. They have compromised that with their biased slant during the campaign. The media relished their part in helping to create history by supporting the first black president. Now they are so far in bed with the Obama administration that they are either in love with him or they fear him. Because of that, mainstream Americans are not learning anything but propaganda.
Thank goodness for talk radio, Internet news sites, and blogs like this one. Enjoy it now because I wouldn’t be surprised if the “new media” is censored soon too.
