Enough Stimulation Already!

Ah, the mighty stimulus package. The savior of humanity. The last great hope for America. Blah, blah, blah. Despite what Congress has been trying to tell the American people to think, and what the mainstream media has been telling them as well, a recent Rasmussen poll shows that American’s just ain’t buying it.

The poll shows that 45% of the American public are in favor of canceling the stimulus right now! Only 36% disagree, saying that the parade of pork…excuse me, stimulus…should continue. A significant percentage, it should be noted, are unsure. That’s 21% for those keeping score at home.

More and more Americans are turning against the tax and spend folks up in Washington and are demanding fiscal responsibility, contrary to what some in the media will tell you. They are wanting some restraint in our government’s spending, and that’s something I think is being missed.

President Obama has determined that his election was a mandate for his progressive politics and a re-awakening of the Second Bill of Rights that FDR first proposed 65 years ago. Instead, it should have been read as a condemnation on failed neo-conservative policies that McCain was seen as a continuation of. Unfortunately, Obama missed the boat on that one.

Of course, being the media darling obviously didn’t hurt one bit either though, so he’s still got that going for him. It’s just a shame for him that the American people aren’t buying everything he’s been trying to sell them.

See? America can be saved!

Maybe anyways.

Ho hum, just spent that last 40 min on Sanford Bishop’s government web site writing email after email after email.

I know he won’t read them, but maybe I can fillup is inbox.

Since Feburary, I’ve finally figure out the repsonese ratio. For every 5 emails I send I get 1 form letter 2 pages long that says
    absolutly nothing.

I’m do 5 from him today with the emails sent.

The one I got yesterday showed that he was running out of his good paper. Second page was white copy stock.

He’s just tired of you Mike, that’s all.

Seriously, it’s sad that Rep. Bishop isn’t responding. I honestly don’t expect a tailored response to every email, but some kind of response for EVERY CONTACT is a much better course of action to at least pretend you’re listening to the folks back home.
