New Chief Seems to be Walking the Walk

Chief John Proctor said he was going to try and clean up the Albany Police Department.  Obviously, with Albany’s Finest being less fine than eras past, it would be difficult to pretend that he wasn’t going to be tasked with anything of the sort.  But here in his first few days on the job, he sure seems to be walking the walk. New Justice Nominee Named

President Obama revealed earlier today who is nominee for the Supreme Court will be, replacing Justice Souter who announced his retirement earlier this year.  Judge Sonya Sotomayor was named earlier today in a White House ceremony.  Both sides are gearing up for a fight, and it should be a fun one.

To start with, during a 1997 nomination hearing, Judge Sotomayor said “I don’t believe we should bend the Constitution under any circumstance. It says what it says. Do You Raise Your Kids?

Daniel Hauser, age 13, is back at home today. His mother, Colleen had taken him and ran after a federal court had ordered that Daniel had to undergo chemotherapy treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma despite her wishes. It’s just a damn shame people can’t make decisions about their own children’s medical treatment, isn’t it?
