Hippies and Republicans Unite?

I have always wondered what would happen if you put the “hippy” type and the Republican type in a room together.  In most computer simulations, such incidents result in the horrible death of one or both subjects.  These simulations are why no hard and fast experimentation has been done on the subject.  Ethics is a tricky thing after all.
